Sportsman Channel Salutes Service Personnel with July 4th Tribute

Soldiers, On-Air Hosts, Viewers Will Express Their Sentiments on 'Made in America' Marathon 7/03/2013 6:08 PM Eastern

Sportsman Channel will pay tribute to American service men and women with a multimedia salute on Independence Day.

As part of Made in America July 4th Salute from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., soldiers will convey personal testimonials of “what it means to be an American.” Check one out here.

Network hosts and viewers will also express their sentiments about what makes them proud to be an American, with quotes and responses running on a ticker at the bottom of the screen and online.

Sportsman is also encouraging viewers to share their views and images on its Facebook page and Twitter feed.

“American sportsmen are able to enjoy the great outdoors because of the sacrifice and vigilance of brave men and women protecting our freedoms” said Gavin Harvey, CEO of Sportsman Channel, in a statement. “We are humbled and honored to provide a platform for them to express their patriotic spirit on-air and online on Independence Day.”
