Sundance: The British Are Coming in July

It’s not The Beatles, The Kinks or The Who, but Sundance Channel is presenting a British invasion of its own in July.

Sundance will televise new films from emerging and veteran British filmmakers every Wednesday that month at 9 p.m.

The roster is highlighted by the U.S. TV premieres of The Navigators, an absorbing tale of working-class life from Ken Loach; A.K.A., the semiautobiographical debut of writer/director Duncan Roy; and The Heart of Me, a romantic melodrama from award-winning Thaddeus O’Sullivan.

Also on the schedule: Miranda, a comic thriller marking the theatrical debut of Marc Munden (British series Touching Evil).
