Susan Sarandon To Appear In Marilyn Monroe Miniseries

Academy Award winning actress Susan Sarandon is set to appear in Lifetime’s upcoming original miniseries Marilyn, network officials said.

The four-hour miniseries, based on best-selling book The Secret Life Of Marilyn Monroe, which will take a behind the scenes look at the iconic actress’ life. Sarandon (Dead Man Walking) will play Monroe’s mentally ill mother in the film, which will be produced by Asylum Entertainment and executively produced by Jonathan Koch, Steve Michaels, Keri Selig and Stephen Kronish.

Marilyn will debut on Lifetime in 2015, said network officials.
