Syfy Renews ‘Dark Matter,’ ‘Killjoys’

Syfy has renewed a pair of freshman series in Killjoys and Dark Matter, the network said Tuesday.

Dark Matter, which follows six people who wake up on a spaceship with no memory of how they got there, averaged 1.8 million viewers (Nielsen live +3 data,) according to Syfy. The series will return next year with 13 episodes, according to the network.

Killjoys, which chronicles the exploits of a trio of interplanetary bounty hunters chasing deadly fugitives called Warrants, will return in 2016 with 10 episodes, according to Syfy. The series averaged 1.5 million viewers (L3) in its freshman run, said Syfy.
