TCA Winter 2013: BBC America To Launch New Drama Series

BBC America will add to its “Dramaville” programming bock a new eight-part ensemble series Broadchurch later this year, the network announced Saturday during its Television Critics Association Winter tour presentation.

Broadchurch, which stars David Tennant and Olivia Colman, explores the consequences facing a small community dealing with a major murder investigation, according to network officials.

Broadchurch joins such other series in the “Dramaville” block as the upcoming original series Ripper Street and Luther.

BBC America general manager Perry Simon also announced the network will bring back its original drama series Luther as a four-part miniseries later this year.
