TCM Remembers Joan Fontaine, Peter O'Toole on Dec. 29

Turner Classic Movies will pay tribute to Hollywood legends Joan Fontaine and Peter O'Toole by televising a number of their most memorable films on Sunday, Dec. 29.

The vintage-film network will honor Oscar-winner Fontaine, who died on Dec. 15, with such notable movies as Blonde Cheat (1938), The Women (1939), Born To Be Bad (1950) and Ivanhoe (1952). In addition TCM will showcase Fontaine's Oscar-nominated roles in The Constant Nymph (1943) and Rebecca (1940), as well as her Oscar-winning turn in Suspicion (1940).

In the evening, TCM will turn its attention to the eight-time Oscar nominee O'Toole, who died on Dec. 14. TCM has scheduled O'Toole's Oscar-nominated performances in Lawrence of Arabia (1962), Goodbye, Mr. Chips (1969) and My Favorite Year (1982). Moreover, a special encore telecast of Peter O'Toole: Live from the TCM Classic Film Festival, a one-hour extended interview with TCM host Robert Osborne taped before a live audience at the 2011 TCM Classic Film Festival, is on the docket.
