Tennis Channel Serves Up Roland Garros ReduxNetwork To Encore 2013 French Open, Highlighted by Epic Rafa-Nole Semifinal 12/01/2013 9:47 AM Eastern
Tennis Channel will give racquet sports fans a chance to catch up with or relive the action from the 2013 French Open championships.
Beginning on Sunday, Dec. 1 at noon (ET), Tennis will present "Roland Garros Redux: Paris for the Holidays," a two-week encore featuring daily matches, followed by evening wrap-up and interview show French Open Tonight. All told, the network will serve up 175 hours from the clay court Grand Slam.
Other than holiday-themed opens each day, Tennis's December French Open telecasts will air largely as it first appeared on the network from May 26-June 7. Match coverage will begin at 12 p.m. most days, followed by back-to-back segments of French Open Tonight at 9 p.m. hosted by Bill Macatee (the complete schedule can be found at www.tennischannel.com/schedule/).
Coverage highlights includes the five-set men’s semifinal match between Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic that is considered by many to be the match of the 2013 tennis season on Dec. 13, at 8 p.m. Serena Williams’ return to the pinnacle of clay-court success in her singles final against defending-champion Maria Sharapova is also part of the schedule on Dec. 14 at 8 p.m. as are numerous star appearances on French Open Tonight. Among those: John McEnroe, Martina Navratilova, Roger Federer, and doubles twins Bob and Mike Bryan.
