TNT Scratches Up Second Season of ‘Claws'

TNT has renewed its drama series Claws for a second season, the network announced Wednesday (July 12).

The series, which follows the rise of five diverse manicurists who work at a nail salon, is averaging 6.3 million viewers across multiple platforms and 1.1 million adults 18-49 in linear Live+7 Nielsen ratings, according to TNT. In addition, the show has grown 27% in the 18-49 demo since its debut, according to the network. 

Claws, which stars Niecy Nash, Carrie Preston, Judy Reyes and Karrueche Tran, is executive produced by Rashida Jones, Will McCormack, Janine Sherman Barrois, Howard Deutch and series creator Eliot Laurence.

"Look out Manatee County, these ladies are coming back for more!" said Sarah Aubrey, executive vice president of original programming for TNT in a statement. "These strong-willed, hilarious women represent the diverse voices this network is all about. Claws has certainly struck a chord with audiences and continues to attract new viewers each week."
