TV Land Greenlights ‘Heathers’ Pilot

TV Land has greenlit a pilot for comedy project Heathers, the network said Tuesday.

The pilot, based on the 1988 cult classic film of the same name and reimagined as an anthology, will be set in the present day as the star heroine deals with a very different set of teen girls named Heather.

The pilot will be shot later this fall, with Leslye Headland (Sleeping with Other People, Bachelorette) directing the Heathers pilot. Tom Rosenberg and Gary Lucchesi will serve as executive producers for Lakeshore Entertainment.
