UVideos Launches on Xbox Live

Univision Communications is making its content available on Xbox Live.

Xbox Live Gold subscribers can now access content from bilingual digital video network UVideos.

The UVideos application is available at no extra cost to current Xbox Live Gold subscribers via the Xbox Marketplace. Within the first 24 hours of becoming available on Xbox Live, UVideos was downloaded more than 10,000 times, according to officials at the U.S. Hispanic media leader.

Launched on Oct.15, UVideos allows viewers access to access thousands of hours from Univision's day time, primetime, entertainment and news programming buckets.  UVideos on Xbox Live also allows viewers to experience the content in both Spanish and English with closed captioning for select videos.

In addition to the core UVideos features, users on Xbox Live can interact with UVideos using voice controls to direct and search for content as well as use gestures to activate and engage with the app using  Kinect for Xbox 360.. Videos can be placed into queues where fans can come back at a later time to watch their favorite shows.
