VH1 Classic Gets Twisted

Former Twisted Sister lead singer Dee Snider has joined VH1 Classic as an on-air host, the network said Wednesday.

Among his initial assignments, Snider will report from the Legendary Buffalo Chip Campground in Sturgis, S.D., for the network’s All Roads Lead to the Chip, and he will participate in the network’s annual A Classic Thanksgiving.

Snider will also host VH1 Classic "For the Record" on-air segments, which feature classic artists talking about their careers and what they've learned along the way.

“In addition to being an enormously talented music artist, Dee has an incredible on-air presence and a vast knowledge base about music that we'll tap into as we expand our original-programming efforts at VH1 Classic,” senior vice president and general manager Eric Sherman said in a prepared statement.

VH1 Classic is currently in 33 million homes.
