Vimeo Bows Online TV Storefront

OTT specialist Vimeo launched its global television store today at MIPCOM, and announced Starz as a new partner for the service.

Vimeo announced Lionsgate as the first Hollywood studio partner for the service in September, paving the way for the new offering to feature series such as Orange is the New Black, Casual, The Royals, and Mad Men.

The arrangement with Starz will enable Vimeo to add originals such as Ash vs Evil Dead, Black Sails and The Girlfriend Experience to the service, which is offered in more than 150 countries. Vimeo’s digital storefront also features catalog titles such as Weeds, Nurse Jackie, Boss, Blue Mountain State and Manhattan

In June, Lionsgate announced a deal to acquire Starz in a cash and stock deal valued at $4.4 billion.
