WE tv Plans Online Launch For 'SWV Reunited'

WE tv will launch an online-based series that will bridge the gap between seasons of its reality series SWV Reunited, the network announced Wednesday.

The six-part online series series, In Between, will continue to follow R&B group SWV members Coko, Taj and Lelee through videos, blogs, photos, behind-the-scenes footage, animated GIF’s and Tapestries. The online episodes will run exclusively on WEtv.com and roll out over consecutive Mondays beginning July 7, said network officials.

“In this age of fragmented viewing, we are constantly looking for innovative ways to keep viewers engaged longer and with more WE tv content,” said Marc Juris, WE tv’s president in a statement. “In Between not only bridges seasons but also seamlessly connects our linear and online audiences, giving them a platform to continue the conversation year round.”

SWV Reunited averaged 1.2 million viewers in its freshman season and will return for its sophomore campaign Aug. 14, said network officials.
