YES Integrates New Graphics Package as Yankees Begin 2013 Season

As the New York Yankees start the 2013 Major League Baseball season, YES Network will unveil some new graphics elements around its coverage of the team.

The regional sports network will introduce new openings and bumpers during its pre-game show, game telecast of the Yankees-Boston Red Sox season opener on April 1 and the post-game. The new look incorporates one of the more compelling vistas in Yankee Stadium, the Great Hall.

“With this new Yankees design package, we wanted to show off the unique space of the Great Hall, while showcasing the clean lines of the stadium architecture, limestone and glass throughout,” said Rick Deutschman, creative design director at YES.

Deutschman said consistency was also a key part of the plan.

“In the game open, we introduce streaks of energy that bring to life players of the past with holographic statues erecting from the Great Hall floor,” he said. “These streaks continue throughout all the other opens and elements around our Yankees coverage to give the package a cohesive feel.”
