YES Spotlights Jeter's 3,000th Hit on 'Moments of Glory'

YES tonight will debut the first installment of a new version of its profile series, highlighting great moments in New York Yankees history.

The Yankeeography: Moments of Glory series will feature the principal relating the story, in this case Derek Jeter discussing his 3,000th hit game on July 9, 2011. The half-hour show, which premieres on June 26 at 11 p.m. after the regional sports network’s coverage of the Yankees-Texas Rangers contest, also includes interviews with his mother and sister; former teammate Jorge Posada; Yankees manager Joe Girardi;  David Price, the Tampa Bay pitcher who surrendered the historic hit; and Christian Lopez, the man who caught Jeter’s home run ball.

Wednesday’s Moments of Glory also features exclusive footage of Jeter travelling to a game; his on-field and in-dugout exchanges on July 9 with teammates and opponents; Jeter’s meeting Lopez and his family after the game, and more.
