Kevin Leddy Joins Charter

Charter Communications has named industry vet Kevin Leddy to the post of senior vice president of technology planning and application.

In that role, Leddy will head up the communication of Charter’s overall technology vision to various constituencies, including industry organizations and policy makers, the company said.

Leddy reports to James Blackley, Charter’s EVP of Engineering and IT, and will be based out of Charter’s corporate headquarters in Stamford, Conn.

Leddy is a former long-time exec of Time Warner Cable, the MSO acquired by Charter in May 2016. Leddy,  also late of the National Cable Television Association (now  known as the NCTA – The Internet & Television Association), most recently served as TWC’s EVP of corporate strategy.

“Charter’s public profile continues to grow and the need for a technology spokesperson clearly articulating the Company’s technology vision to various stakeholders and audiences is more important than ever,” Blackley said in a statement. “I have known and worked with Kevin for many years, his exemplary reputation in the industry combined with his technical expertise, and operational and marketing background, make him uniquely qualified to serve Charter in this capacity.”

 Leddy holds a B.A from Colby College and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
