Layer3 TV Hires Chief Product Officer

Layer3 TV, the Denver-based next-gen cable operator, has hired industry vet Gregg Grigaitis to the post of chief product officer.

Grigaitis, who will head a team that oversees Layer3 TV’s product strategy, product management and overall product development, most recently was with Suddenlink Communications, the MSO now owned by Altice USA. At Suddenlink Grigaitis played a big role in rolling out products like TV Caller ID, a TiVo-powered video product, SuddenLink2Go and the MSO’s ConnectedHome Security platform.

Grigaitis previously was SVP of product and business development at Broadbus Technologies, the VOD server/tech company acquired by Motorola in 2006 and founded by current Layer3 TV CEO Jeff Binder. Prior to that, Grigaitis was director of GuestServe and Movie Products at SeaChange International.

Grigaitis reports to Binder and will be based at the Layer3 TV headquarters in Denver.

Layer3 TV currently offers service in the Washington, D.C., metro and in the Chicagoland markets, with Denver on deck.
