MAVTV Revved Up 58 Affiliate Adds in 2014

MATV closed 2014 with 58 new affiliates.

The network, owned and operated by Lucas Oil Products, signed distribution deals with Armstrong, Google Fiber and Mid-Rivers Communications. It also concluded contracts with 55 members of the National Cable Television Cooperative. MAVTV, which has revved up its commitment to motorsports events and attendant lifestyle programming, has a master contract agreement with NCTC, which its membership can opt into.

This year, MAVTV, which counts some 28 million subscribers and is carried by Dish, DirecTV, Verizon FiOS, Comcast, Time Warner Cable and Charter, has added Northeast Rural Services and VOIPTV to its affiliate roster.

"Motorsports fans are requesting their local TV providers to add us to their programming line-up in ever greater numbers," said MAVTV president Bob Patison. "We deliver live motorsports extravaganzas such as the world famous Chili Bowl, in-depth interview series such the Dave Despain Show, exclusive automotive reality series and a broad spectrum of race programming. No other cable network delivers that depth and variety of motorsports."

Subscribers to MAVTV can check out such programming as Lucas Oil Chili Bowl, Drag Boat Racing,  Off Road Racing, Late Model Dirt,  Modified, Pro Motocross, the FIA World Rally Championship and the Pirelli World Challenge.
