Fox News Channel has redesigned its Web site (www.foxnews.com), offering users simplified navigation and easier access to breaking news, streaming video and personalized content.

The modifications have also brought several new advertisers into the online fold.

Officials said the revamp of FOXNews.com was constructed to more closely parallel the graphic appearance of the network.

Breaking-news banners and scrollable news frames have been added to the homepage for easy access to the latest Fox News headlines and “Only on Fox” content. The new homepage template allows for greater flexibility in presenting headlines, breaking news, story-driven content and artwork over the 24-hour news cycle.

Concomitant with the content and graphic changes are more advertising opportunities.

New space has been created “above the fold” on the site’s homepage and in subsections of the site. Other ad-supported features include a new front-page video player, section fronts and scrolling news menus.

FOXNews.com has increased the amount of advertising space and sponsorship opportunities throughout the site, in addition to standardizing all banner placements.

Site officials said new design has helped to add DreamWorks SKG, Honda Motor Co. and America Online Inc. to its advertising roster.
