Music Choice is making its television music service available for cable operators to use with their high-speed Internet services.
The company didn't announce any MSO deals, but its owners include Comcast Corp., Time Warner Cable, Cox Communications Inc. and Adelphia Communications Corp., along with several music companies.
The channel said about 60% of the 34 million homes that can receive the service use it, averaging about 17 hours per week.
Music Choice offers 52 channels of streamed music, and it will include a Napster 2.0 music-download service for its broadband offering.
