The Internet and a vision of what it can do have shaped much of Jeremy Allaire’s professional life. Convinced that the Net would forever change the way people consumed media, Allaire founded Internet TV operation Brightcove in 2004 and now serves as its CEO.

“For consumers, Internet TV has meant more choice and control over their viewing experiences,” Allaire said.

And, as a result, it “has afforded exciting new opportunities for media owners to deepen engagement and community around their programming.”

Before Brightcove, Jeremy worked as a technologist and entrepreneur-in-residence for venture capital firm General Catalyst. He also was chief technology officer of Macromedia, where he helped define and launch the Macromedia MX platform for Rich Internet Applications.
