Viacom Names HR Heads

Viacom Inc. readied its human-resources department for its upcoming split into two publicly traded companies.

JoAnne Adams Griffith has been promoted to executive vice president, human resources and administration at the new Viacom, overseeing HR policies and programs of the company’s corporate office, as well as MTV Networks (MTV: Music Television, VH1, Nickelodeon, Nick at Nite, Comedy Central, Country Music Television, Spike TV, TV Land and several international services), Black Entertainment Television, Paramount Pictures, Paramount Home Entertainment and Famous Music.

And Anthony G. Ambrosio was upped to the same title at CBS Corp., where he will direct HR and administration activities -- including corporate real estate, facilities management, security and certain other corporate services -- for the CBS Television Network, UPN, Infinity Broadcasting Corp., Viacom Outdoor, Viacom Television Stations Group, Paramount Television, King World Productions, Simon & Schuster Inc., Showtime Networks Inc. and Paramount Parks. He will also continue to provide oversight of the labor-relations unit.

Griffith will report to Viacom co-president and co-chief operating officer Tom Freston, while Ambrosio reports to Viacom co-president and co-COO Leslie Moonves.
