In Demand Offers Freeview of MLB Extra Innings Package

Major League Baseball’s playoff push will heat up in earnest when regular-season play resumes on Friday and hardball fans can keep abreast of all the action via a discounted MLB Extra Innings package.

InDemand from July 19-25 will offer a free preview of the out-of-market package as baseball returns from its All-Star break festivities that conclude on July 16 with the Mid-Summer Classic from Citi Field in Queens.

With up to 80 out-of-market games each week through the end of the regular season, which ends on Sept. 29, cable, telco and other video providers are offering the half-season package at a suggested retail of $139, versus the full-season rate of $199.

Among the InDemand affiliates offering MLB Extra Innings: Comcast’s Xfinity, Time Warner Cable, Cox Communications, Bright House Networks, Charter Communications, Cablevision Systems’  Optimum, RCN, Midcontinent, Service Electric Cable TV and MetroCast Communications.

During the free preview, viewers can take a swing at the following enhancements :

*Dual Feeds: In Demand delivers both the home and visiting team broadcasts of the same game whenever possible, so that fans can choose which telecast they want to watch.

*Multiscreen Moscaic: Fans can preview the games are currently playing with this rotating mosaic of multiple screens showing all the available live action, along with scores, inning and channel locations.

*HD: Many contests are provided in the enhanced format, with carriage varying by system..
