Disney XD Launches 'Phineas And Ferb' Summer Promotion

Animated series Phineas and Ferb will be at the center of Disney XD's promotional efforts this summer, with the popular characters appearing in all of the boys-targeted network's on-air branded spots, beginning May 28.

Each month, the network's branding and spots will offer a different summer theme as part of the "Phineas and Ferb Summer Vacation" promotion. June will focus on beach activities, July will represent carnivals and August will reflect adventure, said network officials.

Phineas and Ferb will also be a featured attraction as part of Disney Channel's May 28 premiere of a music video for the tween-targeted network's movie Camp Rock 2 The Final Jam. The video for the upbeat pop/rock song It's On, choreographed by Chucky Klapow (High School Musical), features 200 dancers.
Camp Rock 2 Final Jam, a sequel to the 2008 Camp Rock telepic starring Demi Lovato and The Jonas Brothers, premieres Sept. 3. The original Camp Rock film drew 10.1 million viewers to its June 2008 premiere on Disney Channel and has reached over 137 million unduplicated viewers since its release, according to the network.
Richard Loomis, senior vice president, marketing and creative, Disney Channels Worldwide, said the two special events will help jumpstart a very busy summer for Disney Channel and Disney XD from programming and marketing perspectives.
"We know our viewers are all about summer, so we're serving up some of the biggest programming events of the summer on both channels and our most dynamic and creative on-air campaigns ever, celebrating the freedom of summer with song, dance and all-out fun," he said.
