Fox News Am-Bushes Competition

President Bush’s news conference Tuesday night, updating the administration’s position on Iraq and terrorism, attracted more than 5 million viewers on Fox News Channel.

Fox News drew nearly 5.16 million viewers, nearly triple the number for Cable News Network and almost double the total for CNN and MSNBC combined. According to Nielsen Media Research data, CNN garnered 1.74 million viewers, while 867,000 watched the president on MSNBC.

Among adults 25-54, Fox News averaged 1.94 million, versus 489,000 and 289,000 for CNN and MSNBC, respectively.
