Comcast Cable To Launch TV5Monde VOD Film Package

French-language network TV5Monde USA has launched a video on demand movie service on select Comcast Cable systems.

The TV5Monde Cinema On Demand service will premiere in 12 Comcast systems around the country offering on average 15 French-language movie releases a month, according to network officials. The VOD package will retail at $9.99 per month, which includes both the TV5Monde USA channel and unlimited film viewing on TV5Monde Cinema On Demand.  TV5Monde subscribers on Xfinity will also be able to access the Cinema On Demand service online at xfinitytv.net and through internet connected devices via the Xfinity app, said the network.

The service will initially be available to Comcast customers in San Francisco and Northern California, Denver, Miami and South Florida, Boston, Portland, Seattle, Chicago, Houston, Washington D.C., Baltimore, Philadelphia, and New Jersey, said network officials.
