Dish, Viacom Talks Continue

Dish Network and Viacom continued to negotiate their carriage deal past its 11:59 p.m. Wednesday deadline, and subscribers could still access the networks as both moved towards a deal.

Viacom channels like Nickelodeon, Comedy Central and VH1 were scheduled to go dark to the satellite TV company’s 14 million customers on April 20 after months of extensions.

Earlier Wednesday, Dish chairman and CEO Charlie Ergen expressed some optimism that a deal could be reached.
