Viacom, Cox Renew Carriage Deal

Viacom and Cox Communications said Friday they have renewed their distribution agreement, including an expansion of on-demand offerings across platforms.

In addition to Viacom’s 22 cable networks and EPIX movie channel Cox subscribers will have access to an expanded selection of on-demand, full-length programming across all platforms, including television and mobile devices.

“Cox has consistently been a leader in offering advanced features and services to their subscribers, and Viacom’s networks are favorites among those audiences who consume programming on digital devices, whenever and wherever they choose," Viacom executive chairman and CEO Philippe Dauman said in a statement. "Viacom and Cox have worked together for many years to provide industry-leading offerings, and are pleased to continue our strong relationship for many years to come.”

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
