Univision said it has signed a multi-year agreement with DirecTV to include carriage of its owned-and-operated broadcast stations, as well as national feeds for Univision and UniMás and cable network Galavisión.
The agreement, terms of which were not disclosed, also calls for DirecTV to launch Univision Deportes Network, Univision tlnovelas and news network ForoTV.
“Our Spanish-language customers have been anticipating the launch of these new channels and we are excited to provide them with even more of Univision’s quality programming lineup,” DirecTV chief content officer Dan York said in a prepared statement.
