Katty Kay To Emcee Cable Hall of Fame Event

The Cable Center said Katty Kay, lead anchor on the BBC's 24 hour international news channel BBC World News, will emcee the 15th annual Cable Hall of Fame Celebration. It will be held Monday, May 21, at the Boston Marriott Copley Place, in conjunction with The Cable Show 2012.

Kay is the lead anchor of the BBC's flagship U.S. newscast, BBC World News America. She also is a frequent contributor to such programs as NBC's Meet the Press and The Chris Matthews Show and MSNBC's Morning Joe as well as being a regular guest host for Diane Rehm on NPR.

The BBC World News network is available in more than 200 countries and territories worldwide, more than 300 million households and 1.8 million hotel rooms.

The Cable Hall of Fame Celebration will begin with a cocktail reception, followed by dinner and the induction ceremony. The event program will also include the presentation of the Bresnan Ethics in Business Award, honoring the late William J. Bresnan, to Alan Gerry. A festive after party in the Atrium at the Boston Marriott Copley Place concludes the evening's activities.
