president, technology, in its Local
Media group. He had been
senior VP, chief technology
officer at Hachette Filipacchi
Magazines.

COMEDY CENTRAL

Arian Sultan Rothman
has advanced
to vice president, business
and legal affairs, East
Coast at Comedy Central. She
had been senior director of the
department.

DISCOVERY

Gabriel Sauerhoff
has been
named vice president, digital
media distribution at Discovery
Communications. He
comes from Disney and ESPN
Media Networks, where he was
senior director, digital video
distribution.

Separately, Julia Rao has been
tapped as chief financial officer
of the new Discovery Networks,
Sony and IMAX joint-venture 3D
network. She had been CFO of
several Discovery Networks U.S.
owned-channels, including Animal
Planet, Planet Green, Discovery
Health and FitTV.

Also, Mark Ringwald has joined
the yet-to-be-named 3D network
as director, scheduling and acquisitions.
He had been VP, programming
at AmericanLife TV.

as director, Hispanic marketing.
She comes from Univision
Communications, where she
was a national sales account
representative responsible for
Univision and Telefutura.

Roger Demuth as vice president,
engineering. He comes
from Ensequence, where he
was VP, engineering and senior
VP, services.

Also, Beth Erickson has joined
Itaas as director, account management.
She had been Southeast
regional VP, affiliate relations and
national accounts at In Demand.

Newcast, the New York-based
branded entertainment unit of
ZenithOptimedia, has added Anthony
Azzaro
and Kim Iadevaia
as directors, branded entertainment.
Azzaro had been a producer
with Mediavest’s LiquidTh read;
Iadevaia was an account and promotions
director with MK Creative/
Media/Marketing.

And Maria Dreyer was upped
to vice president, U.S. advertiser
sales. She had been director.
