Channing Dawson

Channing Dawson, senior vice president of emerging media for Scripps Networks, is being honored for his effective leadership of the On Demand Consortium and producing a variety of in-depth deliverables.

Channing was part of the founding executive team for both HGTV and DIY Network. He developed one of the first media call centers, HGTV Viewer Services, and conceived HGTV Ideas magazine, which has evolved into an e-newsletter with 3 million subscribers.

Dawson also created Scripps Networks’ first broadband Web sites, including HGTVvideos.com and living.com; and launched Scripps Networks On Demand.

Dawson serves as the company point person on new and emerging media. Currently he is investigating and implementing the programming, distribution and marketing strategies for mobile and portable platforms, interactive television and syndicated broadband content.

Stacy Gordon

For significant leadership contributions to the Cable Movers Hotline, Stacy Gordon, national senior director of retention marketing for Comcast, is being honored for her development of training materials, scripts and marketing materials.

Gordon heads up the corporate retention marketing department for Comcast, directing strategic development, implementation and analysis of all national retention and loyalty programs, which include customer education materials.

She has over 13 years of direct marketing experience, having worked for the Franklin Mint in various marketing capacities and as account director with Devon Direct EURO RSCG, a leading direct response advertising agency.

In addition to co-chairing CTAM’s Cable Movers Hotline Steering Committee, Gordon is a member of Women In Cable & Telecommunications and a 2005 CTAM U. graduate.

Louise Mooney

Longtime cable executive Louise Mooney, principal with JLM Partners Inc., is being singled out for two years of dedicated work on CTAM’s integrated communications initiative, promoting cable’s advantages through earned media coverage.

Before forming her latest venture in 2000, Mooney served as vice president of communications for the NCTA, where she was responsible for industry-wide public relations programs, including the first PR training program for cable-system managers, national polling to track consumer attitudes toward cable and the first statewide cable system community relations programs. She also helped create, staff and launch Cable in the Classroom.

Before joining the NCTA, Mooney founded and ran Rauscher & Associates, a public relations firm in Los Angeles. Mooney also founded the cable networks’ Television Critics Association Tour, which presents cable networks to newspaper television writers from around the country during a biannual media tour.

Donna Perkins

Comcast’s senior director of customer service operations, Donna Perkins, is being honored for significant contributions to the Cable Movers Hotline, including development of training materials, scripts and marketing materials. Perkins oversees the strategic and operational responsibilities for agent desktop tools and enhancements, including Comcast’s relationship management system.

Her responsibilities also include leading operational assessments to identify strengths and opportunities in Comcast’s cable systems. She oversees the process and tools used to hire and retain customer service agents and supervisors. In addition, she has established a national career progression path for Comcast employees.

She joined Comcast in 2000 as a customer-service development project manager, managing the development of new call centers and renovations of existing facilities.

Before coming to Comcast, Perkins held various management positions with Keystone Mercy Health Plan in Philadelphia.

Kevin Potente

Kevin Potente, vice president of Optimum Business Services for Cablevision Systems Corp., is being honored for his active participation in Business Services Council Initiatives, and for his leadership in co-chairing the 2006 Business Services Forum.

Potente, who has held his current post since 2002, has played a key role in growing the company’s commercial customer base.

Prior to his current role, he served two years as director of broadband services for Lightpath, Cablevision Systems’ business telecommunications division, where he directed all aspects of the launch and operations of hybrid fiber coax-delivered services to the business community.

Potente is a graduate of Arizona State University’s School of Business, with a concentration in International Commerce, obtained through study in China, Taiwan, Japan and Hong Kong.
