Lifetime to Kick Off ‘Every Woman Counts’

1/20/2004 6:23 AM Eastern

Lifetime Television wants people to know that "Every Woman Counts."

The network will kick off its latest national public-advocacy campaign, "Our Lifetime Commitment: Every Woman Counts," Jan. 25 -- two days before the nation’s first presidential primary in New Hampshire -- with the Lifetime/ABC News Good Morning America "Every Woman Counts 2004 Democratic Presidential Candidates Forum" from Dartmouth College, the first of the election year to focus exclusively on the issues most important to women.

Moderated by GMA senior national correspondent Claire Shipman, the hour-long presidential-candidate forum features the Democratic candidates offering opinions and answering questions before an audience of national women’s leaders, students and voters from across New Hampshire.

The nonpartisan campaign will continue throughout 2004 on-air, online and in communities across the country with a series of national polls, nationwide voter-registration efforts, training for women considering running for elected office and events at both the Republican and Democrat National Conventions.
