The Weather Channel Revisits `StormWeek'

10/01/2001 11:49 AM Eastern

The Weather Channel will reprise its 'StormWeek' programming stunt later this
month.

The network announced Monday that it will again explore the world of
tornadoes, hurricanes and blizzards through one-hour specials at 9 p.m. Oct. 15,
16 and 17, respectively. TWC will conclude StormWeek with World's Worst
Weather
Oct. 18 at that time.

In premiering the stunt June 4 through 7, TWC notched a 0.7 average, a record
for one-hour specials, according to Nielsen Media Research.

This time around, TWC will support StormWeek with an online poll. From Oct. 8
through 18, users can log onto weather.com to answer a related question each day. After voting, users will be linked to
a page where they will find updated results about the poll topic and a chance to
read the online StormWeek report. Following each installment, the results of the
poll questions relevant to that night's show will be announced
on-air.
