CNN Promotes Lizzie Kerner, Jon Adler

CNN  announced the promotion of three of its programming executives.

Lizzie Kerner has been upped to the position of Vice President, Current Programming, supervising the production of all CNN Original Series and working closely with the news network's outside production companies, the network said Thursday. 

Kerner will continue to report to CNN Worldwide senior vice president of development and acquisitions Vinnie Malhotra.  

Also, Jon Adler has been promoted to director of program development and Chanel Carmona has been promoted to associate director of program development. Both executives will continue to develop relationships with outside companies to find the best ideas for CNN Original Series, said network officials. 

The promotions were announced by Amy Entelis, executive vice president for talent and content development for CNN Worldwide.

Umstead has also filmed, produced and edited more than 100 original video interviews, profiles and news reports featuring key cable television executives as well as entertainers and celebrity personalities.
