AT&T Looks to Go Statewide in Indiana

AT&T filed an application with the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission Tuesday that would allow it to offer its U-Verse TV service in direct competition with cable operators and direct-broadcast satellite providers, AP reported.

AT&T Indiana president George Fleetwood told AP the company would offer U-Verse to about one-half of its residential customers, totaling 750,000-1 million.

IURC commissioner Larry Landis told AP that as long as AT&T provides everything required in the application, approval would be a formality.
