TiVo Finds Religion

8/24/2006 9:54 AM Eastern

TiVo officials discussed its KidZone feature Thursday during a breakfast in Dallas with religious leaders and handed out digital-video recorders for ministers and others to try the service out, AP reported.

KidZone is a free service that provides a menu of shows recommended for kids by nonprofit organizations focused on children and media, according to AP.

"We know that kids are going to be exposed to the media, so why don't we take the media on our own terms?" TiVo vice president Joe Miller told the group of about 50, AP reported.
