InDemand To Deliver Lesh PPV Concert On New Year's Eve

Phil Lesh will close out 2014 with a pay-per-view show at favored Grateful Dead venue The Capitol Theater, ahead of the band’s 50th anniversary.

The New Year’s Eve Show is being produced and distributed by Live Alliance and Multivision Media, with pay-per-view purveyor InDemand making the show available to cable subscribers.

Billed as PHILRAD, bassist Lesh will be joined by current “friends” Joe Russo’s Almost Dead from the refurbished Capitol Theater in Port Chester, N.Y., a venue loved by the Dead in its early days. The show is sold-out.

Carrying a suggested retail of $19.95, Phil Lesh Live From The Capitol Theater  will air live on PPV and be streamed in the high-definition format on Dec. 31 at 9 p.m. (ET). 6 p.m. (PT).

Dead fans are hoping for a tour of its surviving members in 2015, following the announced dissolution of Further, Lesh’ and Bob Weir’s band, in November.

Live Alliance and Multivision Media released Lauryn Hill’s July concert from Brooklyn Bowl, which remains on pay-per-view through the end of the year. Peter Shapiro owns Brooklyn Bowl, as well as The Capitol.
