Emmys 2018: Rachel Brosnahan Wins Emmy for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series

Rachel Brosnahan continued The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’s strong Emmys run in the comedy category with her win for lead actress in a comedy series.

Brosnahan bested Pamela Adlon (Better Things), Tracee Ellis Ross (black-ish), Lily Tomlin (Grace And Frankie), Issa Rae (Insecure) and Allison Janney (Mom) for the coveted statuette. The win officially ends Julia Louise Dreyfus’ six straight wins in the category after her HBO series Veep was ineligible for a 2018 Emmy.

The award was the third for the Amazon series thus far during the telecast, adding to the two Emmys won by creator Amy Sherman-Palladino for outstanding directing and writing.
