Calipari Taps Social Media To Promote DirecTV's Mega March Madness Package

DirecTV has enlisted Kentucky Wildcats coach John Calipari to pitch its out-of-market 2010 NCAA Men's Division 1 Basketball Championship package.
The DBS leader is offering its 2010 Mega March Madness package -- the source where sports fans can access all 37 tournament games from the first three rounds on their televisions in high-definition for $69.
Calipari will promote the service through his 1.5 million followers on Twitter, along with Facebook and cross-channel advertising spots on DirecTV. Check out the promo here at www.directv.com/mmm.
This is the 11th year DirecTV will offer its Mega March Madness package, which gives viewers access to every game from the tournament's early rounds in HD.

Moreover, there are an array of interactive features, including a "mix" channel, where eight games air simultaneously; access to up-to-the-minute stats and scores; and a bracket overlay that allows fans to input their own predictions and then track their progress throughout the tournament, via their remote control.
