Cedar Point Communications Inc. has another $20 million in its coffers thanks to JP Morgan Partners LLC and other existing venture partners.

The provider of packet-based voice and multimedia-switching technologies for the cable and telecommunications industries will put the money toward the commercial deployment of its “SAFARI C³ Media Switching System,” the company’s next-generation integrated voice and multimedia-switching system for cable operators.

All of the investors in Cedar Point’s earlier funding rounds -- Ascent Venture Partners, Battery Ventures, Charles River Ventures, Comcast Interactive Capital Group and STAR Ventures -- participated in the latest funding round.
