Entropic Hires Lesko As SVP Worldwide Sales

Entropic Communications, a supplier of silicon solutions for set-tops and home networking equipment, hired Charlie Lesko as senior vice president of worldwide sales.

Lesko takes over for Bill Bradford, Entropic's former head of sales who quit the company in January. Lesko reports to Entropic president and CEO Patrick Henry and will be based at the company's headquarters in San Diego.

Most recently, Lesko was senior vice president of the Automotive Products Business Group at CSR, the second-largest supplier of information and entertainment semiconductor devices to the automotive industry. Lesko, who has more than 20 years of semiconductor sales and business experience, also served in executive management positions at companies including AMI Semiconductor and Broadcom.

"Charlie is a strong addition to the Entropic team, bringing a proven track record of articulating and delivering business value to customers, enabling them to make more informed decisions about their end-to-end semiconductor strategies," Henry said in a statement. "Charlie's industry expertise, analytical perspective and global sales successes will enable us to maintain our current sales momentum and allow our global customers to transform connected home entertainment opportunities into profits."
