ExtendMedia Hires Former AOL Exec MacIsaac As CEO

ExtendMedia, a provider of multiscreen video-management software, has tapped former AOL executive Tom MacIsaac to be its CEO.

MacIsaac was previously CEO of Lightningcast, an IP video infrastructure provider acquired by Time Warner Inc.'s AOL in 2006.  As senior vice president of strategy and corporate development at AOL, MacIsaac secured partnerships with companies including Hulu, Verizon Wireless and Warner Bros.

ExtendMedia president and founder Keith Kocho will continue with the company in his current capacity.

MacIsaac most recently served as a partner at venture capital firm BlueRun Ventures, where he focused on Internet and mobile media investments. He also was president of Cove Street Partners, an investment and advisory firm working with entrepreneurs and investors to create and build broadband video and advertising companies.

Boston-based ExtendMedia sells software that allows media distributors to create, manage, publish and securely deliver digital content services across broadband, TV and mobile devices. Its customers include AT&T, Bell Canada and Hewlett-Packard.
