HomeNet Goes Live in Provo

HomeNet Communications Monday officially launched its integrated triple-play services over the iProvo municipal fiber project in Provo, Utah, the company said.

Provo citizens and businesses can now receive 10-megabit-per-second high-speed-data service; premium digital television with video-on-demand and parental controls; and voice-over-Internet-protocol service with unlimited calls to anywhere in the United States and Canada.

HomeNet said its services will be available to all 3,000-plus households in the Grandview neighborhood by January. More than 250 homes in that area have been testing its services since early 2004.

Full completion of the iProvo municipal fiber project is scheduled for July 2006, HomeNet added.
