Tandberg Brings Interactivity to NBC Emmy Telecast

Tandberg Television will power an interactive-television application that will enable viewers of the 58th Primetime Emmy Awards telecast on NBC Sunday night to share their opinions, test their trivia skills and gain exclusive, live, behind-the-scenes access.

The service is being sponsored exclusively by Target, which will see its branding throughout the interface, as well as a branded mini-game.

“The recent rise in social-networking sites and other peer-driven technologies proves that consumers are eager to seek out new levels of interactivity with their peers," Tandberg senior vice president of marketing and business development Braxton Jarratt said in a prepared statement.

"Our work on NBC's telecast of the 58th Annual Emmy Awards shows how interactive technologies can enable cutting-edge networks like NBC and advertisers like Target to deliver a more dynamic experience to viewers that will enrich their enjoyment of the show and their engagement with brands,” he added.
