Telution Finds Its Guy

Telution Inc. has hired cable-industry veteran Apollo Guy as vice president and general manager of its cable operations-support-systems practice.

Guy will also hold a position on Telution's management team.

Most recently, he served as VP of marketing and business development at Lemur Networks Inc., an OSS company focused on Internet-protocol-service delivery and management for cable MSOs.

Guy began his career with Rogers Cable, where he served as a business manager for its digital-services group, leading cable-telephony, digital-TV, interactive-services and advanced-analog offerings.

After holding senior-management positions within Bell Canada’s small and medium businesses unit, he became a member of the start-up team and served as VP of sales and marketing for Futureway Communications Inc. (now FCI Broadband), a Canadian facilities-based fiber-to-the-home competitive local-exchange carrier.

"There is no question Apollo will have a tremendous impact on Telution. With his experience, performance history and management expertise, we have found an exemplary addition to our management team and a fully capable executive to lead our cable operations-software initiatives," Telution CEO Kent Steffen said in a prepared statement.

"We are committed to growing Telution through software innovation and industry management expertise, and Apollo certainly provides both to us," Steffen added.
