TiVo Inc. reached a multiyear television-listings-information agreement with Tribune Media Services, the personal-video-recorder vendor said Wednesday.
The deal includes local TV lineups and detailed program descriptions for North America and the United Kingdom. TiVo will also have access to "TMS Select," which provides more frequent updates to airtimes and program schedules.
"It is very important that our subscribers have access to television-listing information that accurately reflects the programming they receive, regardless of whether scheduling changes occur at the last minute," TiVo vice president of business development Edward Lichty said in a prepared statement.
