Vonage Sponsors Nets’ Press Room

Vonage America announced that it will sponsor the New Jersey Nets’ media room at Continental Airlines Arena and the National Basketball Association team’s practice facility.

The broadband-telephone-service provider will avail Nets press correspondents of Vonage’s V-Phone, a mobile phone and 256-megabyte flash drive allowing calls from many PCs or laptops.

“This is a great opportunity for us to highlight how well Vonage's V-Phone works for people who are on the go,” Vonage Holdings CEO Mike Snyder said in a prepared statement. “We look forward to supporting the Nets and their press corps around the nation with our feature-rich broadband-phone service.”

The company’s press-room sponsorship includes signage, banners and a central area for Vonage representatives to assist the press in understanding the service.

Vonage is the presenting sponsor of Nets basketball through 2009. Partnering with the Nets on the club’s Bring It campaign, Vonage receives dominant placement on all Nets marketing assets. The deal also includes a billboard in Times Square, outdoor advertising throughout northern New Jersey and signs at various train stations throughout the state.
