U-verse Hit With Widespread TV, Internet Outages

AT&T customers have reported outages and sporadic problems with U-verse TV and Internet services, starting Monday, Jan. 21, spanning markets in several states including Texas, Florida, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Kentucky, Arkansas, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama and Louisiana.

In a statement, AT&T said, “A limited number of AT&T customers in some markets may be experiencing issues with U-verse service. A team of engineers and technicians are working to resolve the issue, and we apologize for any inconvenience to our customers.”

The nation's largest telco did not specify how widespread the issues are or what caused the problems.

AT&T subscribers complained in various online forums about the issues, including on the telco’s own message boards. Some customer said their service was restored Tuesday morning.

The U-verse outages were reported Tuesday by Light Reading.
