Cable Audit Associates Now Media Audits International

In an effort to reflect its expanded product lines and focus, after 27 years as one of the top providers of media audit and financial management services, Cable Audit Associates, has rebranded to become Media Audits International, the company said.

CAA was formed in 1985, primarily providing revenue assurance and independent audits of subscriber data for multiple cable networks. Today, the company has expanded into providing audit data for broadcasters for retransmission consent purposes, satellite TV service providers, mobile service providers, app and e-book publishers, as well as cable networks. The company also has expanded internationally, auditing billions of dollars in license fees, retransmission-consent fees, and royalty payments each year on behalf of established and emerging media companies in Europe and Asia.

“The media industry has come a long way since we started out 27 years ago, said Media Audits CEO Bruce Lazarus. “Since then, we’ve grown by understanding where the opportunities lie and where they’ll come from next. We’ve changed our name to more accurately reflect that capability.”

Chairman Tom Sassos said that as the industry has grown over the past 27 years, it has also grown more complex since the days of simple linear distribution.

“This rebranding positions us more accurately as the company we’ve become, and reflects the many ways in which we have been supporting our clients as their businesses evolve and our industry grows more global,” Sassos said.
